small patchwork

My attempt to make a small log cabin patchwork blanket turned out like this and although I like the mix of fabrics my technical skills need improvement. I have planned another one, this time with only 3 fabrics and a more simple pattern. It is harder than I thought to go simple. I studied some of the Gee´s Bend Quilts for inspiration and noticed that sometimes they only used two or three fabrics and made their quilts into true works of art even with the limited fabric choices they had.
