Ontém á noite quando cheguei a casa de uma longa viagem tinha á minha espera no correio esta linda tela feita pelo very talented, Ricardo Rodrigues, do blog WISHES AND HEROES! Uma boneca saloia que fiz em Janeiro ....(a favorite doll made by me living in the USA with a very special person)!

I can´t stop admiring it and I am so grateful to Ricardo for his kind words and gesture. Dear Ricardo....continuarei sim, á fazer as minhas bonecas e bolas de trapos....muitos beijinhos e até ao prometido jantar em Sintra. I look forward to meeting you.

Quero agradecer muito todos os commentarios ao meu post "a window". Thank you all for the great advice and ideas and I will most certainly update my blog from time to time but probably not as much as before and I will visit all of your open windows as well and make my silly comments! Gostava tanto de vos conhecer também pessoalmente (e ver mais os amigos!) e espero que se visitarem Sintra e me virem ...that you stop me and say hello. Blogs are so lacking in human feeling.

Parece ontém que coloquei aqui a fotografia de mim e o meu pai. Esta foi de quando ele chegou de Boston. Hoje foi a partida para Boston e não levei a maquina fotografica mas quis tanto assinalar aqui no meu blog o facto de ele partir e dizer-lhe que o amo tanto! e que o Natal parece tão longe para o ver mais uma vez (com todinha o resto da familia!). Mas sou immigrante and that´s life. Curti estes quatro dias com ele aqui em Sintra e Lisboa. Gostei estar só com ele desta vez.... só nos os dois e ele a contar-me coisas que não conhecia dele. See you in December! heart heart heart!

a window

note: I posted the picture of this beautiful window because I am closing this "window" of mine for awhile. I am going to dedicate my time to my new job that I am starting this week! and also do what Sonia has started...walking and my swimming to see if I lose the 7 kilos I gained this winter to get in shape to start my own family of little saloios or saloias! I thank you for sharing this experience...despite some bumps in the road it has been wonderful.

...last night I saw this little guy on RTP2 (no Jules e os Animais Mais Perigosos:Amazonia) and well, it was love at first sight! I never knew they existed?...made me laugh, anyway...

tea

Amelia lives in S. Pedro. She invited us for a tea which lasted until 10pm. She shared every nook and crany of her house with us and how interesting it was! She remembers the story behind every "tarreco" as she calls them that she owns.(she collects ceramic statues!) I ate too many cookies and spoke my bad portuguese but it was very special. thank you
